The practice undertakes the teaching and training of:
GP Registrars.
You may be offered an appointment with a GP registrar. These doctors are fully qualified and will have had experience in several hospital specialties. They are completing their specialist training as a GP.
From time to time a GP registrar may ask permission to record your consultation as part of training, but you do not have to agree to this.
Medical Students
We also teach medical students and sometimes you may be asked to see the doctor or nurse with a student present
Medical Students are with us throughout the year for short periods to learn about general practice and gain experience with patients.
You will always be asked beforehand if this is acceptable and you may ask for the student to leave if you prefer to have your consultation in private.
Other Teaching
We sometimes have others who intend to become health care professionals such as nurses, pharmacists, health care workers etc.
