Computer systems will be changed between 17/11/2025 to 28/11/2025
This will cause short-term disruptions to some of our services but will bring much long-term benefits for patient care.
Please note:
- There will be a temporary loss of service on Thursday 20th November, from 12pm.
- Early prescription orders will be accepted for medications due between 17th to 28th November.
We are taking steps to minimise inconvenience, and there are a few important things you should be aware of:
📌 Prescriptions
- Online prescription services will not be available between 19th – 26th November.
- We will issue a two-month supply (where safe and appropriate). So, if your prescription is due during this time, make sure you order by 14th November.
📌 New Patient Registrations
- There will be temporary limitations on our registration process during November.
- If you are a new patient, we will accept applications but may need to pause processing your registration this month while our systems change over. We therefore recommend arranging any medication due in November with your previous practice, where possible.
- If you need to see a doctor urgently, we may register you as a temporary patient and complete your full registration at a later date. Please note that this means we will not have access to your full medical records at that time.
📌 System Downtime – 20th November
- Our systems will be completely unavailable from 12pm on this day. We will only be able to provide essential and necessary healthcare.
- Please note we will not have access to your electronic medical records.
📌 Appointments
- From 17th November to 28th November, we will be making adjustments to our appointments to better manage demand during this transition period.
- There will be a temporary reduction in appointment availability while we adapt to the changes, complete additional work, and carry out staff training.
- Between 20th November and 25th November, we will be seeing patients for essential care only.
We understand the impact of these restrictions and have put measures in place to help manage demand for services during this time. Our aim is to maintain the best possible balance and ensure we continue to provide care safely.
